The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.
When one neighbor helps another, we strengthen our communities.
– Jennifer Pahlka
If it’s not fun, you’re not doing it right.
– Bob Basso
Commitment means staying loyal to what you said you were going to do, long after the mood you said it in has left.
– Neil Patel
One, remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Two, never give up work. Work gives you meaning and purpose and life is empty without it. Three, if you are lucky enough to find love, remember it is there and don’t throw it away.
– Steve Hawking
It’s not how much you have that makes people look up to you, it’s who you are.
God has given us two hands–one to receive with and the other to give with. We are not cisterns made for hoarding; we are channels made for sharing.
We should not look back unless it is to derive useful lessons from past errors, and for the purpose of profiting by dearly bought experience.
Human happiness and moral duty are inseparably connected.
Let your heart feel for the afflictions and distress of everyone.
I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.
Heroes didn’t leap tall buildings or stop bullets with an outstretched hand; they didn’t wear boots and capes. They bled, and they bruised, and their superpowers were as simple as listening, or loving. Heroes were ordinary people who knew that even if their own lives were impossibly knotted, they could untangle someone else’s. And maybe that one act could lead someone to rescue you right back.
What should young people do with their lives today? Many things, obviously. But the most daring thing is to create stable communities in which the terrible disease of loneliness can be cured.
No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend’s or of thine own were: any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee.
Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.
Everything is connected, no one thing can change by itself.
Life has a way of testing a person’s will, either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen as once.
Be Brave. Take Risks. Nothing can substitute experience.
Do. Or do not. There is no try.
Show MoreAt Core Investments, accepting a position isn't just about starting a new job. It's about starting your career.
“Core is the best place to work because I genuinely think that while a lot of companies preach about being a family, we really follow through on it.”
- Art Campbell, Development Manager
At Core, we’re committed to improving the quality of life both inside and outside the office.
We’re steadfast in bringing lasting value to everyone and everything we connect with, including: our amazing staff, tenants, neighbors, professionals and of course our developments.
When you join Core, you’re not just starting a job, you’re starting your career.
Central to our ability to deliver great projects is our firm belief that all great projects require strong local community support, and a strong community starts within our office walls. Our relationships with one another thrive off of trust, communication, and friendship. At Core, we want you to feel at home. We believe in a “How can I help you?” culture. We’re all rowing in the same direction, and helping each other achieve our goals.
CoreCares was initially started with our employees in mind. During the first stages of the pandemic, we worked hard to make sure our employees had everything they needed to succeed. With the delivery of laptops, extra monitors, desks, good office chairs, office supplies, meals, and more, we were able to ensure our team was taken care of. CoreCares has since expanded beyond our walls to include community partnerships that help instill success in South Boston. Caring is an essential part of who we are and what we do.
We want our team collaborating together in the office but if something comes up and you need to work from home, Core’s goal is to ensure you’re working in a place conducive to your success. This hybrid office/remote policy provides our team members the flexibility they need.
Additionally, coming into the office is a bonus in itself. Located on the 30th floor of The Prudential Center, we never are short of options for lunch breaks, amenities, coffee runs, and amazing views. Conveniently located in the Back Bay, our office is close to public transportation for easy commuting.
The benefits of working at Core, aside from an amazing team and long-lasting friendships, are endless.
We’re always looking for fun new ways to keep morale at a consistent high. In the past, Core has hosted company outings on Boston’s Harbor Cruises, holiday parties, birthday lunches (for each employee!), team building activities, and more. It is our Core belief that a leveled work-life balance is important for mental health and to keep a company running smoothly (a rare benefit in the CRE world). We hire people that believe in these values, work hard and play hard, and enhance our Core family.
We’re always looking to add to our family!
